About the USBCC Project


This program is administered by CDS and the King Baudouin Foundation. This project is made possible largely thanks to a grant from U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs, as well as funding from the King Baudouin Foundation, and in-kind contributions from CDS and local partners in the cities involved in the project.


CDS International

Founded in 1968, CDS International, Inc. is a non-profit organization committed to the advancement of international practical training opportunities for young professionals. The various programs sponsored by the organization are designed to give students and professionals an opportunity to further their professional development, while gaining first-hand knowledge of a foreign language and culture. The experiences gained through these programs help improve global business practices, help strengthen global cooperation and understanding amongst individuals, organizations and communities. Today, CDS serves over 2700 individuals annually from over 80 countries worldwide in a variety of work/study, internship, fellowship and study tour programs.


King Baudouin Foundation

The King Baudouin Foundation (KBF) supports projects and citizens with a commitment to build a better society. The Foundation looks for sustainable ways of bringing about justice, democracy and respect for diversity.

The King Baudouin Foundation is independent and pluralistic. Working from its base in Brussels, the Foundation is engaged in activities in Belgium, in Europe and internationally. In Belgium the Foundation has local, regional and federal projects. The King Baudouin Foundation was founded in 1976 to mark the 25th anniversary of King Baudouin's reign.

 

US-Belgium Cultural Crossing is administered by CDS International, Inc. and the King Baudouin Foundation. The program is under the sponsorship of the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the U.S. Department of State.
