An International Network of Local Practitioners Serving Immigrant Communities
US-Belgium Cultural Crossing is a US-Belgian exchange project that examines the challenges of immigrant integration. Officially titled US-Belgium Cultural Crossing: An International Network of Local Practitioners Serving Immigrant Communities, the program facilitates transatlantic dialogue among practitioners involved with immigrant communities, in order to formulate and implement innovative approaches to integration.
Through a series of exchanges between select US and Belgian immigration and integration experts, the program will allow experienced professionals from both sides of the Atlantic to engage in intensive information exchange, while building a transatlantic network of practitioners.
The one-year program, conducted in 2008, brings 12 practitioners from the United States to Belgium to meet their 30 Belgian counterparts, who in turn will travel to the US.
